International Business Department's 2024 Team Building Journey to Guilin

Last week, our International Business Department took a respite from the daily hustle to embark on a rejuvenating four-day, three-night excursion to Guilin, a place celebrated for its unparalleled natural scenery. This was a journey of exploration and camaraderie, where team members immersed themselves in the scenic wonders of China's most storied landscapes. Through our shared experiences of cruising along the Li River, wandering through the picturesque countryside, and reveling in the area's rich cultural tapestry, we not only strengthened our bonds but also returned with a renewed sense of inspiration and unity.

Day 1: Arrival in Guilin, the Unfolded Scroll of Nature's Art

Our international business team embarked on a flight to Guilin, touching down in the lush and clear waters of this renowned city. The day was capped with the serene realization of being amidst landscapes that have inspired countless poets and painters over the centuries.

Day 2: A Symphony of Guilin's Essence - Li River Cruise, Silver Cave, and the Epic Show 'Eternal Guilin'

We began our journey at Zhujiang Wharf, boarding a four-star cruise ship for a panoramic tour of the Li River, a gem of China's splendid landscapes, often described with the phrase "the river as a green ribbon, the mountains like a jade hairpin." The cruise offered a visual feast of peculiar peaks reflecting on the water, verdant banks, pastoral songs, and fishermen at leisure, encapsulating the essence of Guilin's scenery.

Post the river cruise, we ventured to the Silver Cave, a karst formation traversing twelve peaks. Inside, we marveled at the towering, majestic, and exquisite stalactites, likened to silver and diamonds, earning it the title of Guilin's most beautiful cave.

The day culminated with the 'Eternal Guilin' performance, a spectacle that employs cutting-edge technology to recount the timeless legends of the region, bringing the hidden culture of the Li River to life through a three-dimensional narrative that spanned across water, land, and air.

Day 3: The Serenity of Yulong River, Idyllic Retreat, and the Majestic Goudong Waterfall

Our day started with a bamboo rafting experience on the tranquil Yulong River, where the gentle murmur of water and the reflection of green peaks offered a poetic escape from urban life.

We then discovered the 'Utopia of Peach Blossoms,' a place where the natural scenery of small bridges, flowing water, and homesteads brought to life the pure essence of nature as depicted in ancient literature.

In the afternoon, we immersed ourselves in the natural forest oasis of Goudong Waterfall, enjoying the thrill of climbing the cascading falls and reveling in the pristine forest with its diverse flora.

Day 4: The Elephant Trunk Hill and the Journey Back

The final day led us to Elephant Trunk Hill, a symbol of Guilin, where we experienced the enchanting sceneries of the water and the moon, the Pagoda of Universal Sage, the Water-Moon Cave, and the twin moons of Li River.
