Soybean Irrigation Solution
Soybean is a cornerstone crop for the global protein and vegetable oil markets, providing essential raw materials for animal feed, food processing, and industrial applications. Renowned for its nitrogen-fixing capability, broad adaptability, consistent yield potential, efficient nutrient cycling, and wide growing range, soybean continues to see growth in both acreage and total output worldwide. Although soybean requires adequate and evenly distributed moisture, it also exhibits reasonable tolerance to moderate water stress during certain growth stages. For soybean growers, optimizing irrigation timing and enhancing water use efficiency are top field management priorities to maximize yield and quality. Advanced irrigation methods—such as sprinkler and drip systems—are widely recommended to meet the crop's water demands during critical reproductive stages. VEICHI provides customized irrigation solutions designed to support sustainable, high-yield, and water-efficient soybean production.
Features and Benefits
Solution Advantages
Water Savings
Large-scale sprinkler irrigation systems like center pivots cut water use by 20–30% over conventional methods, with variable speed control enabling precise, soil moisture-based application tailored to specific crop needs.
Higher Yields
Sprinkler irrigation systems improve the microclimate by raising humidity and lowering temperatures during hot weather, promoting healthy crop growth. They also keep foliage clean by removing dust, enhancing respiration and photosynthesis for higher yields.
Labor Savings
Sprinkler irrigation systems deliver high mechanization, reducing labor intensity while multiplying work efficiency several times over—especially on large, uniform fields. They also eliminate the need for field ditches and borders, further minimizing labor input.
Maximizing Land Use
By minimizing the need for irrigation ditches and channels, sprinkler systems free up 5–15% of field area that would otherwise be occupied by borders, furrows, and ridges—converting it into productive cropland while reducing earthwork requirements.
As a professional solar pump irrigation system solution provider, VEICHI can offer full series products for alfalfa irrigation, especially for off-grid area. Our system products include solar panels, solar pump, controller, dc combiner box, dc cable, dc connector and center pivot irrigation equipment. All of this irrigation system can help maximize irrigation efficiency and enhance crop yields.
How to Choose Suitable Center Pivot System for Soybean
Irrigation area
Selection is based on the size and shape of the farmland. For round and large farmland, regular center pivot sprinkler can meet the needs; if the farmland is irregular or long, consider panning or panning and rotating sprinkler.
System flow rate
Determine the required flow rate of the system according to the irrigation demand.
Water source conditions
Consider the type (well, river, reservoir, etc.) and quality of the water supply source and the inlet pressure.

Crop type
Different crops have different requirements for irrigation water volume and irrigation intensity. Shallow-rooted crops such as vegetables are suitable for sprinklers with low irrigation intensity; while taller crops such as corn can be selected for sprinklers with longer range and slightly higher irrigation intensity.
Sprinkler performance
Includes sprinkler head range, flow rate and degree of atomization. The range should be able to cover the irrigated area; the flow rate should match the water supply capacity of the water source; and the degree of atomization should be appropriate to avoid damaging the crop.

More About Soybean Irrigation
Center Pivot Irrigation Equipment
Pointer-type sprinkler (Center pivot irrigation system):also known center pivot sprinkler, it is a large-scale sprinkler with a sprinkler head supported on a support that can automatically walk around the center of the water supply system while rotating and sprinkler irrigation.
It consists of a central tower, a span unit, a drive unit, a spraying unit, a cantilever, a tail gun and an electronically controlled synchronization system. A number of spans equipped with spray nozzles are connected with each other through flexible joints to adapt to different slope plots. Each driving unit is equipped with a gear motor, which is decelerated through a gear box, the most terminal pylon starts first, and the adjacent pylons are started one by one, and then all the pylons run one after another, rotating around the central pivot axis, so as to realize the automatic spraying operation of a circular area.
Key Features
1. A single center pivot unit can control 3,000 acres of land, with a high degree of automation, simple operation, very low power consumption and low labor costs.
2. Suitable crops: alfalfa, corn, wheat, potato, sugar beet, grain and other cash crops.
3. Uniform irrigation, spraying uniformity coefficient can reach more than 85%, low investment cost, service life of 20 years.
4. Water-saving equipment, water-saving effect can be increased by 50%, mu output value provides 30-50%.
